- The beaches of Cat Island are just as glorious and secluded as the island itself, with an eight-mile stretch of pink-sand beach and numerous others with white sand. You can always find a quiet spot for picnicking, shelling, swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling and kayaking.
- Exploring the history of Cat Island should include a climb to The Hermitage, carved out of Mount Alvernia, a visit to ruins of Loyalist cotton plantations and caves once used by the Arawaks and African slave villages from the 1700s.
- Grab a kayak and enjoy the breathtaking sights along a twisting mangrove creek, on the shallow water of a lake or the crystal-clear ocean as you follow the shoreline.
